Our Beers

Paulaner Bräuhaus Shanghai restaurants offer authentic German beers year-round, including Paulaner Lager, Wheat (or as they say in Germany, “Weiss”) and Munich Dark (also known as “Dunkel”).

The Lager and Wheat beers are unfiltered and unpasteurised, making them popular choices for all beer lovers.

We also offer Salvator “Starkbier” (or “strongbeer”) and Oktoberfest beers as seasonal brews.

Brewmaster

René Schwichtenberg


Our brewmaster, Mr. René Schwichtenberg, is appointed by Paulaner and ensures that all of our beers are brewed according to the “German Law of Purity”- the oldest food law in the world.

Our second brewmaster is Marc Bönhold, who with René, also ensures that all of our beer are brewed accordnig to the Law of Purity.
