The Kempinski Beijing starts to offer a range of cooking classes and unqiue from other hotels in town, two chefs are involved simultaneously whereby attendees have the chance to gain greater insights into different cuisines and cooking styles. Taking into consideration different likes and preferences of guests and interested parties, the cooking classes cover German and Italian cuisine as well as christmas cookies and bakery.
For RMB 498 per person, attendees can enjoy 3-4 hours of hands on cooking-class between 3-6.30 pm, including all food ingredients and refreshment in between the classes. In addition, attendees enjoy a 3 course meal accompanied by fine imported wines, together with the chef in the own restaurant from 6.30 – 8.30 pm.

In our German cuisine cooking class attendees will be instructed by Thomas Ranninger, Executive Head Chef in the Paulaner Bräuhaus, our famous award winning restaurant serving traditional Bavarian and German dishes. The Italian cuisine cooking class will be conducted by our new Italian Executive Head Chef Paride Noviello and takes place in the authentic Trattoria La Gondola. Being Italian native, Chef Paride will introduce attendees to delicious Italian signature dishes such Tagliatelle with cherry tomatoes and forest mushrooms as well as Veal scallopina with roasted semolina gnocchi in red wine sage sauce. In addition, our Executive Pastry Chef Jean-Luc will join the cooking classes and introduce you to his delicious, irresistible desserts as well as his separate cooking classes specialize on christmas cookies and modern christmas bakery.
